The two major types of cannabis plants are Indica and Sativa. Each strain has it's own range of effects on the body and mind resulting in a wide range of medicinal benefits.
Indica strains generally provide a sense of deep body relaxation.
Sativa strains tend to provide a more energizing experience.
Hybrids are grown as a combination of the two strains.
CBD does not bind to CB1 receptors, but it does interact with them. The health benefits and effects of CBD occur because it interacts with CB1 receptors (located on glial cells and neurons in the brain) and CB2 receptors (located in the immune system). Since CBD does not actually bind with the CB1 and CB2 receptors, CBD won’t make you high (unlike THC). The two main components of the cannabis variant, marijuana, are CBD and THC, but the high that marijuana users receive comes from the THC. CBD is non-psychoactive, so it cannot make you high.
